[:nl]Blauwe Kamer publiceert Circulair Wielwijk[:en]Publication circular neighbourhood[:]

[:nl]In het maart nummer van het stedenbouwkundig tijdschrift Blauwe Kamer is ons project over de circulair Wielwijk gepubliceerd. In het ontwerpend onderzoek voor het College van Rijksadviseurs was het doel om met de circulaire economie sociaaleconomische kansen in een wijk te creëren. We hebben daarom na een analyse van de stromen vooral ingezet op de talenten van de wijkbewoners en de initiatieven die al speelden. De stromen, talenten en initiatieven zijn gebundeld in ‘hubs’ waar circulaire activiteiten tot stand komen die bijdragen aan de sociaaleconomische positie en de ruimtelijke kwaliteit van de wijk. Afhankelijk van uw ambitie maken wij graag een lange termijn strategie met concrete acties waarmee morgen gestart kan worden.[:en]The Dutch urban planning and design magazine Blauwe Kamer published an article about our research by design project Circular Wielwijk. Wielwijk is a neighbourhood in the city of Dordrecht and the ambition was set to make this neighbourhood social en economic vibrant by introducing the principles of a circular economy. A focus on the raw materials being used in the neighbourhood was not adequate to tackle the social and economic issues and we therefore first analysed the skills of the residents and which initiatives were taking place. We then developed a concept to combine the raw materials, skills and initiatives into new ‘hubs’ that added economic opportunities and spatial quality.
