Programma Ruta de la Experiencia tijdens Habitat III in Quito

The Ruta de la Experiencia is one of the largest UN selected Village projects for the Habitat III conference in Quito, Ecuador. The Ruta de la Experiencia is a concrete project, to practically show the principles and methodology of the Human Cities Coalition (HCC). The physical interventions in the Ruta – such as greening, lighting and painting – and the social interventions visualize HCC’s approach to create sustainable improvement of cities’ liveability for all. URBANOS was involved from the start: discussion the local issues with the stakeholders in Quito, setting up a tactical and practical design to change the street, organize the construction and help with the events. The ‘Fabrica Ciudad’, lodged in the Centro Cultural Benjamin Carrión, is part of HCC’s Ruta de la Experiencia and it assembles local city makers and inhabitants to create and share ideas on inclusive urban development in Quito.  You are warmly invited to join the many activities during the Habitat III week in the Jorge Washington Street and Centro Cultural Benjamin Carrion. The launch of the project is on Sunday October 16th and between Monday the 17th and Thursday 20th of October the program below is offered:

(83 minutes)

Jan Gehl has studied human behavior in cities through 40 years.
