De tweede ‘MakeHappen!’ International Inspiration Day vindt plaats op 23 september 2016 tijdens de Unseen Photo Fair & Festival op het Westergasterrein in Amsterdam. Reserveer deze datum dus vast in de agenda.

Vorig jaar diende het AFFR als decor voor de MakeHappen! Inspiration Day. Dit jaar is er gekozen voor de inspirerende fotobeurs Unseen met de uitstraling van een festival. De ideale setting voor een dag waarin verbeeldingskracht en ondernemen in het buitenland centraal staan. Tijdens de MakeHappen! Inspiration Day reis je af langs de verschillende festivallocaties waar verschillende break-through sessions worden gehouden. Pepijn Verpaalen van URBANOS is host van de sessie Prosperity. Onze avonturen in het buitenland en de recent verschenen publicatie Buiten de Grenzen kleuren zijn de aftrap van de sessie.

Daarbij kun je deelnemen aan netwerkmomenten en sluiten we af met een (netwerk-)borrel.

This year’s MakeHappen! Inspiration Day focuses on excelling in meaningful international business of architecture. The day offers architects the opportunity to dive into the heart of their practice. Learn from experts, colleagues and best practices in an inspiring setting. What is driving you to go overseas? The MakeHappen! Inspiration Day 2016 will be held at the Unseen Photo Fair & Festival in the Westergasfabriek in Amsterdam on the 23th of September 2016.

Working abroad as an architect offers huge opportunities, new economies and fast changing markets. BNA research shows that international business is growing, but it requires the ability to have a clear focus and at the same time to improvise. The guiding principle in entrepreneurship is nowadays rather a strategic compass than an outlined roadmap. But how to excel in this environment and organize your business well?

At the MakeHappen! Inspiration Day architects, business developers and other entrepreneurial minds join forces to search for (new) strategies and visions behind successful and meaningful businesses abroad. In a festival atmosphere you can participate in several break-through sessions on different venues. We are hosting the session Prosperity. We’ll start with an introduction of our work abroad and the publication we recently launched “Buiten de grenzen kleuren (“Colour outdside the borders”) (juli 2016). After that the floor is yours and we’ll discuss together what Prosperity means in an international context. In between there will be plenty of time for informal meet-ups.
